Description: Kefala Cave, located NW, is of considerable archeological and speleological interest. The passageway, overhung with massive stalactites, measures 103 m in length. The cave was explored for the first time in 1961 by oceanographer Anastasios Christomanos, bringing to light evidence of worship of the Olympian Zeus. Visitors can access the cave by boat from Pothia or Myrties.
